You are about to embark on a new and exciting journey! We know you are looking forward to the many opportunities at Purdue University Northwest, and may have a little anxiety about college life. Our goal is to help you make a smooth transition to college and ensure you have all of the resources you need to be successful.
Before You Register for Fall 2017
Once you’ve received your acceptance letter from Purdue University Northwest, you will need to complete the items on this student checklist to ensure you are on track for a successful first semester. View or download the checklist here.
Register for New Student Orientation for Fall, 2017
Please review the following categories and choose the one which best fits you to register:
- Beginning Student
All new students are required to attend an in-person orientation at one of Purdue University Northwest’s campuses.
- Transfer Student
Students with transfer credits that have been accepted by the university may register for an on-campus orientation or online orientation.
- Re-Admit Student
Students who are being re-admitted to the university under policy of the Dean of Students are required to attend an on-campus orientation.
Those students who attended the university and are returning may come to an in-person orientation or register for online.
- International Student
Students on an F-1/J-1 visa status will complete orientation with the International Programs Office.
- RNBSN Student
Students who have received acceptance to the RNBSN Nursing Program will complete an online orientation provided by the College of Nursing. These students receive access instructions by mail or email. To receive more information, please call the College of Nursing at 219-989-2814.
- Inter-campus transfer
Students who are transferring from another Purdue campus are not required to attend orientation, but are certainly welcome to register for orientation.
- Non-Degree Seeking Student
Students who are not seeking a degree but taking classes at Purdue Northwest are not required to attend NSO; however, you are more than welcome to register for orientation regardless.
